Meet Our Staff

Timothy Chip Santa BarbaraAftercare Chaplain
Through a life of wandering in the wilderness and starving in wasteland, God in his great mercy and grace, plucked me out of the muck and mire and set my feet upon the Rock which is Jesus! God, indeed, introduced me to the “way” to the only “truth” that brings “life”, (see John 14:6) the gospel of Jesus Christ! Since I found this new )to me) truth, I have been eager to devote my entire life to servitude to our Lord Jesus.

This eagerness sent me into uncharted territory. One path was a journey into college. I first began Delaware Technical College where I took a few refresher classes, being as though I have not stepped into a classroom in over 20 years! This led me to Liberty University where I obtained a Certificate of Biblical Studies, and I finished on the Dean’s List.

During this process, the Lord led me to begin a Bible study which turned into a ministry called Broken Beginnings. Here, the Lord began to send men of all ages with many different backgrounds to minister to. Most common of the backgrounds are those who have been incarcerated and those with addictions of many kinds. I have been joyfully engaged in this ministry for the past two years. The next path our Lord sent me down was a one-year pastoral internship with Brandywine Valley Baptist Church, with Ordination as the end goal. Now with great honor and humility, I have accepted a position with the very ministry that God used to speak to me years ago, Prison Outreach of Delaware.

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to power and glory.
  4.  We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enable to live a godly and separated life.
  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.

TESTIMONIALS

The Prison Outreach of Delaware is making a difference in the lives of incarcerated individuals, families of inmates, and former inmates by teaching the gospel and giving hope.

…You really helped me through that time period of my life… [you] also gave a good example for what I want to do… working with teens who have had trouble.

Jeffrey

This act tells me that I really need Jesus in my life to lead my steps and control my thoughts.  I surrender to His will. Not because I got caught but because I choose to LIVE instead of EXIST.

Erik

Inmates need some compassion and to hear that God can and will forgive them and change their life. Thank you so much for caring about the forgotten.
