A Small View of My Life Before Christ
Jesus became my Lord, Master, and Friend right here in Gander Hill (9/24/2009). Before I came here, I knew of God and even called my self a spiritual man. But all I really was was an alcoholic adolescent, claiming manhood but really having no sense of the word. One night the true living God (Jesus) challenged the god that I served (alcohol) for my soul and as I sat in the Chapel and heard the Heavenly voices Choir sing and praise, the Holy Spirit overwhelmed me and at that very moment Christ gave me back what the devil stole from me—“my life”
Never have I been more happy or more at peace. Now whenever I think of what He has done for me, tears of joy take me over cause I went from yelling in the crowd, “crucify Him, crucify Him” to being on the cross next to Him asking Him to “remember me”.
All praise is to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords for He truly is the Way, the Truth, and the Light. I thank God for each of you men in that choir and I thank Him truly for Gander Hill not that I was doing the wrong thing out there cause I had a job, I didn’t sell drugs, or none of that, but I wasn’t doing enough of the right things. In Jesus name, amen.

Dear Rev, Kadtke,
I have done a lot of things in my life, GOOD AND BAD. But one thing I've always noticed is that I never developed a healthy fear of God. I've robbed, cheated, stolen, lied faked out everyone including myself. At 49 years old all of the time I've wasted is finally coming down on me. I went into a Catholic Church for help and prayer and ended up robbing the priest. This act tells me that I really need Jesus in my life to lead my steps and control my thoughts. I surrender to His will. Not because I got caught but because I choose to LIVE instead of EXIST.

LETTER FROM AN INMATE'S MOTHER

Dear Prison Outreach:
I would like to donate monthly to your ministry. My son is an inmate at Howard Young Correctional Institution. Like everyone else, and I’m ashamed to say it, you don’t think about prisoners till it hits home. I realize how important it is to reach prisoners for Christ. Inmates of all really need some compassion and to hear that God can and will forgive them and change their life. Thank you so much for caring about the forgotten.
Although my son is a Christian, I pray daily for him and all the other inmates that they will come to Christ and stay with Christ. . We all make mistakes. We are no better than anyone else.
I will continue to pray for your ministry and the inmates. So many are lost but God can change that. Keep up the good work.
Yours in Christ,
A Concerned Parent

GOD CHANGES LIVES
Men who have found Christ in prison love to share how God has changed their lives. Their songs of praise to their Lord and Savior are indeed a joyful sound!
Their testimonies are a sweet savor to God as they minister to others the peace that God has given.
