Webb Correctional Center / Plummer Center- The Webb is heating up! With little air conditioning at the prison, the summer brings rising tempers. The Plummer Center has similar heat issues. Things go smooth in Bible studies but I hear the complaints. Services continue uninterrupted at both Webb and Plummer.
Aftercare- Ministry has been busy on the "outside". I have teamed up with Two Roads Ministry and Nick Tolino. He provides small job opportunities and transportation to support group Bible studies to those getting out of prison. Nick ministers tirelessly to those addicted and down and out. He has put at least 3 of the guys who attend our Aftercare group to work over the last few weeks. Nick attends Bridge to Victory each Friday night and brings a couple of the guys he is helping out.
I would like to invite Nick to an upcoming board meeting to describe his ministry. He is trying to form a non profit organization but at this point is just charging a nominal fee for service for both he and the guys he is helping.
Gander Hill Prison- Ministry is going well at GH. I preach on the 3rd Monday of the month and cover for Joe when needed. When not at a Monday evening service I meet with individuals for counseling and (or) a small Bible study on Tuesday afternoons. One of my other roles is to follow up with those who commit to Christ and make sure they understand the Gospel.

Gander Hill Prison- I continue to work with Joe on Monday evenings. My role is to support Joe by meeting individually with choir members and others who request to see the Chaplain. I meet with 2-3 choir members each Monday night and preach regularly. Tuesday afternoon I also meet with individuals for counseling. Chaplain Joe get plenty of requests and this helps relieve some of his workload.
The Plummer Center- We're having some great Bible studies at the Plummer Center and I am building strong relationships there. We are seeing the numbers of men who leave Gander Hill come to Bible studies at the Plummer Center. This is a great way to build the relationships that have started in Gander Hill and develop that trust as the offender nears the end of his incarceration. Our goal is to follow up when they are released through our Bridge to Victory Program.
Webb Correctional Center-Things have picked up at Webb with 10-15 guys attending. At the Webb Center almost all the men are in the Crest Program which is a drug and alcohol addiction program. I try to build on their work in emphasizing the essential need to address their drug and alcohol problems. Through faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to love and obey Him, the offender can overcome any addiction. We stress that sin is the ultimate separator, first separating us from God and then from everything good in life. Our Bible studies often have a recovery flavor to them.
Bridge To Victory- Our group continues to meet every Friday night. I pick up guys in Elsmere and New Castle. We had two new guys last night in attendance. (March 28th)
My wife and I are praying and considering meeting with an ex-offender and his fiancé for premarital counseling. He played the drums at our last banquet.
Tim, who I know from the Plummer Center, has been attended our church last week along with his 5 year old son.
Support Raising and other ministry opportunities.
Missions Conference at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church: March 9th and 16th.
Faith Baptist and Brandywine Valley Baptist Church AWANA programs: March 19th and 26th.
