It is a joy to be a part of Prison Outreach of Delaware and watch the Lord at work on so many levels in each one of our lives! It is a joy to see the men growing and taking positive steps to live for the Lord and to honor God in their walk with Him.
Many of you may remember my hubby, "Chaplain Charlie" who served as prison chaplain at Gander Hill for over 31 years. I am still in touch with many of the men Charlie worked with. I continually witness how far they have come over the years and it blesses me beyond words. |

The Gift Goes On...
If you were able to attend our banquet this year (or any other year), I'm sure you received a very special gift as a token of our appreciation as well as a reminder of the Savior that we serve. Each place setting had a red and white hand-made cross. Those crosses are made by Chaplain Joe's mom every single year, especially for our banquet. They are always a hit. I still have mine hanging in my car. A friend of mine has hers hanging from her purse, and my son has his hanging on his key chain. Those crosses are so unique, that when you see one, you know who made it and where it came from!

Here is a picture of one of Mrs. Kadtke's famous crosses!
Maybe you have one of your own or have possibly seen one around town.
A friend was in our local mall one time and noticed a big guy with huge muscles and tatoos... and one of these crosses hanging from his ear.

THESE CROSSES NOW

In April I was blessed to be able to go to Sunabeda, Orissa, INDIA for my yearly missions trip. I took several hundred of these crosses along and they were a huge hit! I will post some photos below.
We were blessed to be able to feed several hundred people while we were there and we gave the crosses out during dinner. People were nearly fighting over them! It really blessed us the next day as we were passing through another village and we saw a man riding a bike... with one of these crosses tied around his wrist! |

One of my very places to go in India is the local leper colony.
Each one of the lepers received a tract in their language
as well as one of Mrs. Kadtke's crosses.
