What is a Blog Anyway?

People keep suggesting that I start a blog!
I've read some blogs from time to time, and was never very impressed. It seems that the world is full of voices thrusting their opinions upon us. These cries of opinion happen so often that you feel like your head is going to explode. But to be kind to my friends I thought I might look into it.
I had to ask the question, "WHAT IS A BLOG ANYWAY ?". I turned to the dictionary but you know how difficult they can be! One of my favorite poems is called;

If I should come across a word
One that I have never heard,
And its meaning I don’t know,
To Webster I most often go.
And in his book of wisdom true,
I find the word I never knew,
But lo and behold!
The meaning I see
Is a lot less clear than the word to me.
Now begins the job I think
Is worst,
To look up each word that explains
The first.
And often by the time I’m done.
I’m right back where I started from.
If I should come across a word

A blog is a combination of two words WEB and LOG crunched together to form one word or BLOG. It is generally a log of opinion or point of view expressed by one individual in an environment that see all opinions as equal and on the same plain or level of exceptance. It is generally updated daily weekly or monthly and allows interaction with readers who want to express their thoughts.
It sounded like a pretty good idea to me!
I will be discussing lots of topics and would love for you to chime in.
This is my first posting!
Just remember that kindness to others through the love of Christ has eternal consequences.
